Purpose
Why Policies Matter
Surge operates as a national commercial clean energy platform. To protect all parties - including clients, sales representatives, EPCs, and financing partners - we maintain clear operational policies and compliance standards.
These procedures ensure:
Transparent communication between all participants
Consistent project handling and data security
Ethical marketing and sales practices
Alignment with Surge’s mission, values, and brand reputation
Who These Policies Apply To
All Surge members (Scouts, Strategists, and Mentors), as well as EPC, product, and financing partners, must comply with the Policies & Procedures document as a condition of participation.
Key Policy Areas
Membership Requirements
Every member must:
Maintain an active Surge account
Complete onboarding and compliance training
Follow all brand and communication guidelines
Keep personal and billing information accurate and up to date
Code of Conduct
Members are expected to act with integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
Surge has a zero-tolerance policy for misrepresentation, spam, or unethical business practices.
Confidentiality
Members must protect all confidential information shared through the platform - including project data, partner pricing, and client details. No confidential information may be disclosed to third parties without written authorization.
Compliance and Legal Standards
Members must follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to energy sales, marketing, and contracting. Licensing, permitting, and regulatory requirements must be met before engaging in project activities.
Marketing and Representation
All Surge branding and marketing materials must comply with Surge’s approved visual and communication standards. Members may not represent themselves as employees of Surge; all roles are independent contractor positions.
Payment and Commission Integrity
Commissions are only paid on fully installed and funded projects that meet all submission and compliance requirements. Members must ensure all project data, client details, and supporting documentation are accurate.
Conflict Resolution
Any disputes between members, partners, or clients must be handled professionally and escalated through the proper channels, beginning with [email protected]. Surge leadership may intervene to mediate and resolve conflicts in alignment with the company’s core values.
Enforcement
Compliance Monitoring
Surge reserves the right to audit member activity and communications for compliance. Violations may result in suspension, removal, or forfeiture of commissions.
Policy Updates
Policies and Procedures are reviewed and updated periodically to reflect platform improvements, legal changes, and operational refinements. All members are notified when updates are made.
