Overview
There are two main ways to invite someone to join Surge, either by sending them your personalized referral link or by using the Invite Member form inside the platform. Both methods automatically track the new member under your team and ensure that you receive credit for the referral.
Option 1: Share Your Custom Referral Link
Every Surge member has a unique referral URL that includes your name or ID at the end. When someone joins through this link, they are automatically connected to you as their sponsor.
Where to Find Your Link
You can locate your referral link inside your dashboard under:
Dashboard → My Account → Referral Link
How to Share
You can share your link in any of the following ways:
Send it directly in an email or text message
Include it in your digital business card or email signature
Add it to your social media profiles or posts
Print it as a QR code on flyers, presentations, or brochures
When a new user visits your link, they’ll be guided through the registration process and linked to your account automatically.
Option 2: Use the Invite Member Form (In-Platform)
If you prefer to add someone manually, you can invite them directly through the platform using the Invite form on the Team page.
How to Access the Form
Go to:
Dashboard → Team → Invite
This will open the Invite Member form.
How to Complete the Form
Fill out the following details:
First and last name
Email and phone number
Address, city, and state
Preferred and spoken languages
Gender, marital status, and date of birth
Invited-to role (e.g., Scout or Strategist)
Once complete, click Send.
The invite will be delivered directly to their email with a personalized registration link.
Tips for Inviting Members
Always confirm the person’s correct email address before sending the invitation.
If you’re sharing your link publicly, make sure it includes your referral ID or username at the end.
Follow up personally after sending an invite - a short text or call increases the likelihood they’ll complete their registration.
Keep your approach professional and aligned with Surge’s Code of Conduct and Anti-Spam Policy.
Troubleshooting
If a member doesn’t receive their invitation email:
Ask them to check spam or promotions folders.
Confirm that their email address was entered correctly.
