Surge offers a clear advancement path for members to grow their skills, earnings, and impact in the clean energy industry. Each membership level represents a different role and responsibility within the Surge ecosystem.

Overview

The Surge network is built on three progressive membership levels - Scout, Strategist, and Mentor. Every new member begins as a Scout and can advance based on performance, experience, and demonstrated capability.

Each level unlocks new tools, training, compensation, and opportunities for leadership within the platform.


Scout

Step 1: Role

Scouts identify and submit qualified commercial or industrial project leads through the Surge portal. They are the entry point for new opportunities in the network.

Step 2: Access

Scouts gain access to:

  • The Lead Entry Portal

  • Scout training and orientation materials

  • The ability to track submitted leads and project progress

Step 3: Earnings

Scouts earn $0.01 per watt installed (minimum $1,000 per project) once a referred deal closes and installs.

Step 4: Advancement

Scouts can advance to Strategist by either:

  • Submitting 5 qualified opportunities, or

  • Achieving 1 closed project


Strategist

Step 1: Role

Strategists manage the full sales process for commercial projects, working directly with Mentors and the Surge operations team. They qualify, advance, and present projects using Surge’s approved proposal tools and processes.

Step 2: Access

Strategists gain access to:

  • The full Surge Dashboard and Back Office

  • The Learning & Training site

  • Live training events and ongoing mentorship

  • Replicated website and lead portal for personal use

Step 3: Earnings

Strategists earn 25%-75% of Commissionable Value (CV) + 50% of sponsor CV (1st generation).

Step 4: Advancement

Strategists advance by:

  • Completing 5 presented opportunities

  • Maintaining 1 qualified opportunity per month

  • Meeting Mentor readiness requirements


Mentor

Step 1: Role

Mentors are experienced sales professionals who guide Strategists, oversee project quality, and ensure successful closings. They collaborate with Surge’s leadership and operations teams to manage high-value opportunities and team development.

Step 2: Access

Mentors gain access to:

  • The full sales pipeline and performance dashboards

  • Team management tools

  • Mentor-level training and leadership sessions

  • Direct communication channels with Surge leadership

Step 3: Earnings

Mentors earn a higher percentage of CV plus team overrides based on performance and structure.
They may also receive leadership bonuses tied to monthly KPIs and company milestones.

Step 4: Advancement

Mentors are invitation-only and must demonstrate:

  • Consistent project volume and leadership skills

  • High-quality deal submissions

  • Compliance with Surge policies and procedures
