Overrides, Bonuses, and Performance Rewards

In addition to direct commissions, Surge offers overrides, bonuses, and performance-based rewards to recognize members who demonstrate leadership, consistency, and excellence in project performance and team development.

Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

Overrides and bonuses are designed to reward both production and mentorship.
While Scouts and Strategists earn commissions directly from their individual projects, Mentors and team leaders receive additional income tied to the success and performance of their downline teams. This system creates shared success and encourages collaboration across the Surge network.

Overrides

What Overrides Are

Overrides are percentage-based earnings that reward Mentors or sponsors for projects closed by members they’ve directly supported or trained. They align incentives across teams and ensure leaders are compensated for guidance, mentorship, and oversight.

Eligibility

Overrides are available to:

  • Approved Mentors in good standing

  • Sponsors with active downline members who are producing qualified projects

  • Members meeting monthly or quarterly activity requirements, as defined in the Compensation Plan

How Overrides Are Calculated

Overrides are based on Commissionable Value (CV) - the total amount used to determine per-watt or percentage-based earnings.

Common structures include:

  • 50% of sponsor CV on first-generation downline activity

  • Tiered rates for multi-level team production, determined by qualification level and performance metrics

Overrides are automatically tracked in the Surge platform and visible in your dashboard under Reports → Team Earnings.

Timing

Overrides are released simultaneously with direct commissions, following project funding and verification. If a downline project is delayed, the override payout will be delayed accordingly.

Performance Bonuses

Purpose

Performance bonuses reward individual or team milestones, reinforcing high standards and growth across the platform. These incentives may change periodically and are announced through the Surge dashboard and email updates.

Types of Bonuses

  • Production Milestones: Awarded when a member or team achieves a defined kW or revenue threshold.

  • Recruitment Bonuses: For sponsoring new members who meet specific performance requirements.

  • Leadership Achievements: For Mentors who help Strategists advance or close multiple projects within a quarter.

  • Company Promotions or Challenges: Limited-time contests and recognition programs announced by the Surge leadership team.

Payout Process

Bonuses are paid through the same commission release process and appear as separate line items in your commission report. Any related requirements (e.g., project verification, performance documentation) must be complete before payout.

Recognition and Rewards

In addition to financial incentives, Surge highlights top performers through:

  • Spotlight features in company updates and training sessions

  • Eligibility for leadership events or exclusive training opportunities

  • Invitations to participate in advanced programs or advisory councils

Performance rewards are designed to celebrate not just results but the professionalism, consistency, and collaboration that drive long-term success.

Compliance and Qualification

All override and bonus payments are subject to:

  • Completion of verified, funded projects

  • Full compliance with Surge policies and partner requirements

  • Active membership status at the time of payout

  • Maintenance of ethical and transparent conduct

Failure to meet compliance requirements may result in withholding or forfeiture of override or bonus payments.
