Purpose
The Surge Advisory Council exists to strengthen collaboration between Surge’s corporate leadership and its field network of Mentors and Strategists. Council members play an instrumental role in shaping Surge’s growth, providing feedback to leadership, and helping guide the direction of the platform and its national expansion. Council members serve as thought partners, providing insights from real-world experience to help the company scale efficiently, ethically, and intelligently.
Mission of the Council
To represent the voice of the field, support operational excellence, and ensure that Surge’s leadership decisions remain grounded in the realities of project development, member experience, and market opportunity.
Core Objectives:
Advise on system, process, and compensation improvements
Support leadership communication and transparency
Mentor up-and-coming Strategists and Mentors
Participate in quarterly leadership meetings and planning sessions
Represent Surge professionally at national events, partner meetings, or public functions
Council Composition
The Advisory Council is composed of:
Surge leadership team (CEO, COO, CSO, CPO, CAO, etc.)
Selected Mentors and top-performing Strategists
Specialized advisors and subject-matter experts from the energy, finance, and construction sectors
Council members are appointed by the CEO and executive team based on performance, expertise, and leadership contribution.
Membership Criteria
To be considered for appointment, a member must:
Be an active Mentor in good standing with consistent project activity
Demonstrate exceptional professionalism, integrity, and communication
Exhibit alignment with Surge’s mission, values, and long-term vision
Maintain a strong understanding of Surge’s systems, policies, and workflows
Have a history of constructive collaboration and leadership contribution
Members who meet these criteria may be invited to join the Council by formal letter of appointment.
Term & Participation
Council appointments typically last 12 months, with the option for renewal. Active participation is expected in all scheduled meetings, initiatives, and strategy sessions. Members may be asked to contribute to:
Internal leadership development initiatives
Platform improvement task forces
Training and onboarding refinement
Special projects or strategic partnerships
Council participation is non-salaried but may include performance-based incentives or end-of-year bonuses tied to key outcomes.
Meetings & Communication
The Advisory Council meets quarterly, either virtually or in person. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed for special topics or project reviews. Meeting summaries and action items are recorded and distributed to all members to ensure follow-up and accountability.
Council members may also be invited to exclusive leadership retreats, partner summits, or advisory sessions with Surge’s executive team.
Confidentiality & Conduct
All Council members must sign a Letter of Agreement acknowledging confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements. Members are expected to maintain discretion regarding all internal discussions, documents, and strategic initiatives.
Professionalism, respect, and solution-oriented dialogue are required at all times. Breaches of confidentiality or conduct may result in removal from the Council.
Reporting & Accountability
Council members report directly to the CEO and coordinate with Surge’s Chief Advisory Officer (CAO) for agenda planning and communications. Recommendations and decisions made by the Council are reviewed and implemented at the discretion of executive leadership.
